There are three books that made an impact on me:

• The Sorrows of Young Werther, I learned about how unrequited love can bring one insane joy and torment. It had a deep influence on romanticism.  This book is banned in many countries.
  “I sometimes cannot understand how she can love another, how she dares love another, when I love nothing in this world so completely, so devotedly, as I love her, when I know only her, and have no other possession.”
•  The Little Prince taught me about accountability and responsibility.  The book is rich with philosophical themes and allegorical elements.
  “All grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it.”
• Nine Stories is a collection of stories by J.D. Salinger, who wrote about the intricacies of human connectedness and evoked emotion. It made me reconsider my own beliefs and values in light of societal pressures and conventions.
  “She nodded. “Are you very deeply in love with your wife? Or am I being too personal?”
