Have you ever broken a bone?
I was in high school when I fractured my right wrist after a freak ski accident. My bone actually jutted out of my wrist and for some reason, I didn’t seem to be in pain (to note, I do have a high tolerance to pain).
When I went to the hospital, I was concerned that I would need surgery but as luck would have it, I only needed a cast for about six weeks. I was forced to use my left hand to do my homework and let’s just say that my penmanship resembled a kindergartner learning how to write.
As time passed, the cast emitted a foul smell and became itchy underneath. I would try to dab the area with antiseptic solution and that seemed to help for a couple of days and then I’d have to repeat the process all over again.
