IG (instagram) has these new features on there that I thought I’d share.
Personally, I find it intrusive IMHO (in my humble opinion).
If your IG is public, your pics or videos could appear on Google or other search engines. I turned it off for my account. Or you can make your account private. Go on Settings and activity, account privacy, and you’ll land on this page below.
Another feature they added was the ability to track people. Yeah, no. Not that I’m doing anything shady but I’ve already had stalker issues before and this feels like this could be a safety issue for people. People can either physically assault someone, find out where people live, or rob their homes when they’re not home. But for whatever reason, a couple of my friends are sharing their location with their followers.
To turn off this feature, go to settings and click on story, live, and location. Then click on location sharing. Also, make sure that your location is turned off in IG on your Iphone or Samsung phone.
