Living in the United States has become outrageously expensive. California? Beautiful, yes. But the cost of living is next-level ridiculous. Either people are hella wealthy or they are one to a couple of paychecks away from being unhoused.
The disparity continues to grow between the wealthy and poor.
I half joke with my colleagues about growing our own crops and buying hens for eggs because groceries have skyrocketed. TBH, this economy is fucking stupid if you ask me.
I seriously don’t know how Alaskans and Hawaiians do it either. The shipping costs alone for basic necessities in those states? Ugh.
