If I die young, bury me in satinLay me down on a bed of rosesSink me in the river at dawnSend me away with the words of a love song

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still havenโ€™t got around to visiting.

California is a huge state and although I’ve been to many places, there’s still so much more to see.ย
Places I have yet to go to:

  • Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve
  • Big Bear Lake
  • Book Club of California
  • Crowley Lake Columns
  • Joshua Tree National Park
  • Lake Tahoe
  • Mammoth Lake
  • No Vacancy
  • Point Reyes National Seashore
  • Redwood National & State Parks
  • Santa Cruz
  • Sequoia National Park
  • The Last Bookstore
  • Yosemite National Park

I lived in Point Reyes Station from 2006-20011, and while it is often touted as a tourist attraction, I really don’t see the appeal. They have a beach called Limantour that is worth a peek. and there is the drive to the lighthouse. Don’t get me wrong now, it is a beautiful day trip, but not especially somewhere you want to use as a getaway. (unless of course your hiding) Just an FYI for further reference.

Training at that height is GREAT!!!
Funny: In March 1949, one of the strangest
encounters in the boxing ring took place:
American boxer Gus Waldorf fought a real
brown bear. Despite its apparent clumsiness,
the beast knocked Waldorf out cold with one
precise blow of its left paw. Aug
