Please don’t take my heart away- putting down my cat due to complications of ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome). Prognosis of her making it overnight were so low that the emergency vet gave me no hope.

I had the best pet insurance possible at the time.Β She had seven doctors, underwent chemotherapy and radiation, surgeries, and acupuncture. At the end, she was tired and even though I wasnβt ready for her to go, I didnβt want her to sufferβ¦
- withdrawing life support when my dad was in a coma. DFLST (decision to forgo life sustaining therapy) was made by my mom and I. There were no signs of life, the EEG showed no brain activity. It was an irreversible coma.Β
