I was hoping that it would just be a matter of time before the tides changed. And sure enough, I am starting to feel it.

For those who have the privilege to vote, I hope you did. I’ve never been more proud to be a Californian. Congratulations to all the new governors, mayors, and public service commissioners. We did it.

Now, let’s end the government shutdown. This is the longest ever and it’s disrupting everything from millions of Americans with federal program cuts, flight delays, and federal and contracted workers nationwide without paychecks. We’re all trying to fucking live.

Time is something I can’t buy. The 1% can’t even buy it.

It stops for no one even if there’s a death or it’s the worst day of my life.
