And you call me up again just to break me like a promise
So casually cruel in the name of being honest
I’m a crumpled up piece of paper lying here
‘Cause I remember it all, all, all
Too well

It’s hard to think about a cozy autumn evening when it’s hot AF outside and I feel like a rotisserie chicken every time I am outdoors.

Autumn isn’t all that cold in California but in Minnesota, it was pretty fantastic.

I actually enjoy being by myself a lot more than being with others. Being around chaos at work and extroverts all day long drain my social battery. I like roaming freely, like a free range chicken. I can do whatever I want, I don’t have to explain myself to anyone, nor do I have to cater to anyone except myself. I can finally breathe.

I’d bundle up with multiple layers of clothing, make a pit stop at Makwa to get a cup of coffee or pick up an Americano from Caribou Coffee, drive to MOA (Mall of America), be in awe of the leaves changing their colors and wonder who’s gonna rake all those leaves later on when they fall to the ground, and go on my merry way.

I usually go to the mall to get out of the house and walk aimlessly for hours and look at all the cute things that I probably will never buy. My mom likes to call it “window shopping”, I like to check out the prices and if in a few weeks the prices drop, I *might* purchase that particular item. Then I will get something portable to eat, while I’m walking. There are over 500 stores so I have to make the most of my time. Maybe cheese curds from A&W or a Jamaican beef patty from Jerk King, while I continue my way, going to all four floors in order to get my steps in. After a couple of hours, I’m ready to go home and blissfully fall asleep.
