d1 los angeles – jungkook’s birthday

I was hella excited for this concert. It’s super anticipated, especially if your bias is Jungkook. And y’all know that he is mine.

I know I’ve gone to three but every concert is different. The vibe is different. The secret songs are different. There are different ARMYs attending. Their words to their beloved fandom are different.

Originally, Alyssa was going to drive everyone and that we were going to eat in Korea town for lunch since she likes to have control and plan everything. I thought that this would be great for me. I was going to sleep on the ride back home so that I could get some rest before work. But the day before the concert, she announced that her car was full and that she was going to give me a parking space ticket. Umm… okay. Like I wish she would have told me this in advance because now we have to figure out driving, lunch, and my sleep/work schedule.

The four of us had the day off, thank goodness. I was happy to have slept in before picking up the girls.

The billboards in LA.

We went to K-town and AYCE (all you can eat) K-BBQ at Gangnam Station.

I was the only one who didn’t have the pork belly, I was too busy feasting on the brisket and beef belly. I cleared three plates of beef by myself.

I was so damn full. We were so into the moment that we lost track of time. The concert starts at 2000 but the doors to the stadium open at 1800. Alyssa and her people were going to get to the suite earlier since they wanted to decorate and set up the area.

After we parked, we quickly passed out freebies. I think I gave away about 150 of them before going inside.

The suite was really nice, it even had its own bathroom. So clean…

The suite also came with food and drinks. Since we got there later most of the food was gone but that’s okay since I was still full from eating all that beef.

The anticipation, waiting for the concert to begin.

Next to us was Kenji, who is half-Korean and half-Japanese, an influencer on all Korean things, especially K-pop. I gave him and his girlfriend freebies too.

At this time, my sister-in-law joined us in the suite, I paid for her ticket since she’s been doing my taxes for free for several years and she is a new fan.

The lights going dark…

When they arrive on the scene.

ARMY closing the honmoon…

Me + my ARMY bomb aka light stick.

Not me, simping over him and taking more pics of my bias on his birthday.

IDK if the cake was part of the suite pricing or if someone brought it but it wasn’t very good. It was dry AF and I nearly choked on it.

This was when I was starting to notice Alyssa acting strange. She barely talked to us and sat on the other side of the suite. Maybe she didn’t think we were cool enough for her other friends and the charity folks. Or maybe she didn’t want us to steal her thunder, not that we would, but maybe she saw it as a threat? I really don’t know…

Linda brought us these fans back from the motherland. They’re exactly like the ones in the 2.0 music video.

This is for Sammi, her bias is SUGA.

The birthday boy.

They face all sides of the stage, making it 360. There are no bad seats because of this and the ginormous screens.

Maria, Kelly, Maggie, and I left before the last song was started to beat the crowds since I had to work the following day. I think everyone had the same idea because by the time we got to the car, everyone was pouring out of the stadium or already in their cars as well. Getting to the car took a while, there were so many parking lots and the area is vast, plus getting out of the actual parking lot took an hour. After I drove everyone home, it was already 0137 and I had to finish working my second job before going to my primary job in the morning…
