• When my brother and I were little, my dad had us watching classics like The Exorcist, Jaws, The Fly—which I found more grotesque than frightening. Whenever the scary music started during The Exorcist, I’d run out of the room screaming. Growing up, I had recurring nightmares about sharks biting my legs off… while swimming in the lakes. Yes, I know there aren’t sharks in the Great Lakes, but try telling that to a six year-old. I have zero problems watching Korean zombie movies like Train to Busan or #alive, but the older films just hit different.
