thru the monsoon…

LINK: thru the monsoon…

Currently listening to: Monsoon – Tokio Hotel
I used to love this song so much…

Running through the monsoon
Beyond the world
‘Til the end of time
Where the rain won’t hurt
Fighting the storm
Into the blue
And when I lose myself I’ll think of you
Together we’ll be running somewhere new

Through the monsoon
Just me and you

What are you proud of?

Prompt created by yours truly.
Feel free to use any prompts for July that I post and/or tag me.
I’d love to read your responses.

I’m proud of many thing… like:

  • not crashing out every day this week, especially after Norway lost and we’re back at war again. I also went to the post office and attempted to mail a small package (a t-shirt and BTS freebies) to Sammy in Canada, when USPS quoted me $197.25. Excuse me? The fuck? I was told that $175.47 was due to taxes and tariffs. Umm. No. I’ll have to find something else to send because this is not it. I’m over this tariff BS.
  • getting a lot of sleep this week. Like… a lot. I was technically too tired from the weeks before to fight staying awake any longer.
  • drinking copious amounts of water. A gallon. I’ve been peeing all day long.
  • being off my phone for most of the day… but when I turned my phone on, I had over 100 texts and 300 e-mails.
  • staying away from social media (except WP) for the day because I didn’t want to be tempted to doom scroll the afternoon away.
  • being alive after so many questionable choices I’ve made throughout my lifetime. I’ll have to write about HiDef sometime…

    Really liked this one. 😊
    I’m proud of…
*Trusting God more than people, today
*Not saying exactly what I’m thinking all the time…Now, to train my face to do the same
*Choosing Zero Sugar soda instead of what I refer to as “the hard stuff”. (Regular soda)
*Saying yes to a Mother/Son Date even though I felt really bad…we had such fun, and he enjoyed chauffeuring me around town…and I felt a lot
better by the end and was glad I said yes.
(Side Note: I sent something to Canada and it arrived yesterday. I sent it 3weeks ago. 🙄).

ahh sounds like a great time and glad you’re feeling better! were you charged a tariff/tax when you mailed something to canada?

  4. Hazel Avatar

What? Just for canada receiver and that’s the bill? Unbelievable! International parcel here costs below 70$ in those distant locations.

I’m glad you got enough sleep.

i didn’t want sammy to get a nasty bill so i told the worker i would pay but when she told me the tariff cost, i told her to forget it…

When I received a letter or parcel here from abroad, always it only cost 112 pesos. It’s cheap for me, considering it’s from my great friends.

that’s so strange!! maybe i’ll try to go to another USPS

That is bull shit USPS quoting you almost $200 dollars wow to send something. They have went up quite a bit, the tariffs suck. I hope you find a better way to send that package.

thanks, Jesse and it is major BS!!

That’s a lot to ship to Canada! I spent roughly 20.00 to ship a 6pack of model paints (20ml each) from England. Roughly double. Drinking more water and less social media is commendable. Good for you👍
