spreading light – a tag challenge

LINK: spreading light – a tag challenge

Thank you so much, Info-Man for this challenge! I think the world just needs more happiness and kindness, especially during these trying times.

I also copied the rules to this challenge:

That is the purpose of Spreading Light. No questions to answer, no limit to how many you can tag. And no official logo (although you are more than welcome to use my image if you want). Just write something that says, “I see you, I care for you, and I am here to support you”. Whether it’s a poem or an inspiring image, go for it.
Then, tag. Tag three people. Tag ninety people.
1. Thank whoever tagged you (This is like a unspoken rule to always have this, or something)
2. Add your “I see you”
3. Tag
One more thing, do it over and over again. Even if you’re tagged once. Tag people multiple times (not in one post). It is meant to never end.

I see you.
The real you.
The tired one,
carrying the weight you never wanted to hold,
smiling through stories left untold.

I feel like I’m one of the few
who notices the quiet in your eyes,
the way you become stoic to hide your emotions like a disguise.

I’ve read and seen the clues,
not because you gave them willingly,
but because pain has a way of leaking out
no matter how tight you try to hold it.

Sometimes it’s hard to decipher what to choose—
to speak or stay silent, to stay or go,
to let someone in or let no one know.
I see you.

There are times when I don’t know what to say
or I pick the wrong words
and there are times when I say nothing at all,
only to hate myself for it later.

Choosing to be there for someone
is harder than people think.

But I didn’t want another day to pass
without you knowing,
somebody sees you.
The real you.

I.C.U. 💜💜💜

I tag everyone who wants to participate.
P.S. I hope this never stops.
