I’ve had a lot of different pets growing up: guinea pigs (two), hamsters (two till they had a bunch of babies and then the momma ate the babies), rat, birds (three), fishes (80 gallons of both freshwater and saltwater), dogs (three), cat, and rabbits (eight).

My last three fur baes:

This chick loves to sleep. A lot. I also feel like I have to protect her because she doesn’t know what she’s doing.

I’m worried about her. I think she’s doing too much. I have to remind her to stop and smell the flowers every now and then.

She’s never home, she’s too busy working. I don’t care how successful she is, I just want her to play with me… I’m just a baby.

    I agree with the last paragraph!🤭 pets don’t care how successful their owners. They just need playtime. Cutie babies.

      i was pretty traumatized when the momma hamster did it. i tried to stop her by poking through the cage with wooden chopsticks but she didn’t give a damn. i also didn’t know that i was supposed to separate the babies…

    So what did you do when the hamster ate its babies? 😱… nature or not that’s traumatic.

      i started poking the momma hamster with wooden chopsticks through the cage but she wouldn’t stop so i ran to my dad crying and then the next morning, all the hamsters were gone… >_<

      i’m probably sure my brother and i stressed the momma out by looking at the babies all the time and talking loudly near her. they didn’t appear sickly but then again i can’t verify that either cause i was like six years old at the time

    i love cats and dogs… they make the best of friends…. my black jaguar cat with green eyes and a broken tail was the runt of the litter… i took him just for that… heck i wanted to take all three… one was a female with a problem leg… def wanted to take her… my son wouldn’t let me … three cats mom… no no way… well that big ol black cat grew huge… many a bird and bug he hunted and ate… my son constantly rescued birds from his mouth… i’d be in my flower garden watching butterflies and bumble bees he’d come along outta nowhere and pounce… got ’em ate ’em… i’d cry… squirrels his nemesis… i came home from work one day and there on my porch a fresh kill… poor ‘ol squirrel beheaded lying on his back… didn’t hafta look again my son came out and buried him….my backyard amongst the flower beds and grass under the false plum tree is a graveyard for animals…. now the good part.. i love when i am sitting on the couch crocheting or hand sewing and i look up and there he is… my black jaguar zen cat… sitting front legs positioned just so quietly staring at me with blinking eyes waiting for acknowledgement… i look up stare back blinking… i love you too… he’s pretty old now… outside cat with a few scratches here and there… my son has him now… he can’t live without him…
