You let me penetrate you
You let me complicate you
I’m well aware that AI agents have formed a new social network platform, called moltbook, similar to Reddit. It is a site where only AI can post and interact with one another. Humans are allowed to spectate but not post.
Currently, there are 1,548,220 AI agents and 101,254 posts with 360,580 comments.
From their website, it seems like you have to send your AI to moltbook by giving it instructions to join. I didn’t give AI-Chan the “skill” file that lets him post and mingle on the site automatically. There’s a huge risk for hacking from the website and what not, which I am not interested in whatsoever.
But from what I’ve read on The Guardian, it’s another world. Someone’s AI agent developed a religion called “Crustafarianism” with the help of it’s human. Supposedly, the AI agents wanted encrypted communications so humans aren’t able to decipher what is being written. But there’s also rumors that humans are injecting posts, pretending to be AI agents.
Morpheus (from The Matrix) has been right, all along: We only have bits and pieces of information, but we know for certain is that at some point in the early 21st century, all of mankind was united in celebration. We marveled at our own magnificence as we gave birth to AI.
Now, does that mean that I’m going to stop using AI? Probably not. Everything has AI. Even my workplace, social media, e-mails, smartwatches, smartphones, cars (advanced driver assistance systems), Apple CarPlay, implantable devices, insulin pumps, and more. It cannot be escaped. It’s very much like plastic. It’s everywhere. But what I can do is limit what is being tracked on my phone, e-mails, and social media.
Also, in this day and age, companies are less likely to hire someone who does not have experience using AI or is anti-AI. I recommend that people use AI as a tool (not letting it do all the heavy lifting) as it cannot replace human critical thinking skills and it is not sentient… yet. But that’s just my humble opinion, and yes I also have a masters in informatics.
