Girlfriend in a coma, I know
I know it’s serious
My plans for the weekend fell through entirely. I was supposed to meet up with friends both Saturday and Sunday but it’s like the universe wanted me to slow my roll instead.
It started Friday, when the monthly woman disease made an unwelcome appearance. This really took me out. I was already running on fumes from Monday, having been up for almost thirty hours straight because of work. I tried my best to recover during the week but no matter how hard I tried, it wasn’t enough sleep for that sorta deficit.
By the time Friday night rolled around and I was finally done with both jobs, I fell into a mini coma. I slept for fourteen hours straight. When I eventually woke up, my phone was full of texts from friends cancelling and wanting to reschedule. Normally, I would have been annoyed, but instead, I was fucking relieved. I let out a sigh of relief and responded back that it was all good and suggested that we reschedule in June since I was already booked for April and May. Then I went back to sleep for another four hours only because I had to use the bathroom. #anemialifewithnocaffeine
I wasn’t hungry until the twentieth hour. I slowly got out of bed and made my way downstairs and into the kitchen. I put a scoop of rice into a bowl, added two-hardboiled eggs, and added hot sauce, tamari, sesame oil, and a splash of vinegar. If I wasn’t feeling so sluggish, I would have stir-fried it.
After I finished eating, I checked my e-mails and that’s when I saw that it was my turn to purchase tickets for the LA Olympics. I quickly went on the site to pick seats and buy tickets but when I looked at the prices, I was quickly disappointed.
That is the price for one ticket. And it’s not even front row seating. Nah, bruh, I’m good. Sure, there were less expensive tickets to other sports but if I’m spending money, I want to spend it on something I really want to see.
