Flavor Flav being a feminist icon was not on my 2026 bingo card… and I think it’s beautiful.

In 2024, he signed a five year sponsorship deal for the U.S. women’s water polo team. When an athlete was struggling to pay her rent while training, he helped cover the cost. He even learned how to play water polo.

In 2026 he became the official hype man and sponsor for USA bobsled and skeleton teams going into Milano. He was in Italy filming the female athletes like a proud dad, posting them on his socials, cheering them on like they were his own daughters. He was out there hitting 66 mph doing a bobsled and skeleton run. That’s wild.

While the the men’s U.S. hockey team went to the White House to eat McDonald’s, Flav saw an opportunity to shine and elevate the female athletes. Now, he’s planning a “She Got Game” event in Las Vegas in July, in partnership with MGM resorts and The Gist (women-led sports media company). He originally invited the women’s hockey squad + the bobsled and skeleton teams but quickly made it inclusive and extended the invite to all U.S. female olympians and paralympians. This event is supposed to include fancy dinners, big parties, a parade, concerts, shows… basically a once in a lifetime experience.

He also created a GoFundMe that’s raised over $62,000 to help support the athletes travel, accommodations, and resources. Ever since he posted about partying in Vegas, celebrities have been jumping in and a slew of companies have pledged assistance (StubHub, Delta, Alaska Airlines, MGM Resorts, Stanley, Clearly Canadian, Elf, Vital Proteins, Hellmann’s Mayo (LOL), Dove, Milk Makeup, Curology, Magic Mike Live, and tons more. Even the mayor of Las Vegas wants to do a meet and greet with the athletes.

In 2026, he did a remix to Public Enemy’s “He Got Game” to “She Got Game” with Fla’jae Johnson (LSU basketball player and rapper), and Retina MC.

He is a legend.
