Buddy H asked me where he should take his wife on Valentine’s Day.
I suggested, Wild Artichoke, nearby his parent’s house. It’s a modern French restaurant. The chef and owner, Andrew Joo, is Korean.
I went there not too long ago with a friend, who was visiting and wanted to eat food that she hasn’t eaten before. That was tough because we’re both foodies and have traveled a bit. Luckily, she’s not a picky eater like my other friends so the world was our oyster. I think my friend really liked it cause her plate was empty and if she could, she probably would have licked her plate.

Shrimp Macaron (macaron aux crevettes) – Sourdough, chives, ginger, shrimp mousseline, Peruvian aji sauce.

Caviar and potato chips – prestige sturgeon caviar, lemon cream fraiche, chive & house made potato chips

French onion soup (soupe à l’oignon) – Caramelized onions, house-made beef marrow broth, Emmental cheese, served with crostini.
My friend had the Parisian steak frites (le steak au poivre) – cold smoked 8 oz hanger steak seared in wagyu tallow, shoestring fries with truffle oil, parmesan, togarashi, pink peppercorn sauce.

Chocolate molten cake and berries (fondant au chocolate baie) – French version of molten cakes, macerated berry punch, mint, vanilla ice cream.
I did follow up with Buddy H on how the dinner went, and he reported back and said that they enjoyed their meal and it was a great choice.
