How have your clothing and fashion choices changed over the years?
Prompt snagged from: TCMC
It’s def evolved over the years. These days, I’m at a point where some mornings I look like I just rolled outta bed, hair in a messy bun and sweats on, and I’ll go to brunch with friends like that. Zero fucks are given. Other days, I’ll go full glam, heels, makeup, perfume, and all that. It just depends on how tired I am and how much energy I have because that extra 30-40 minutes getting ready could be used to sleep a little bit longer.
I love heels. I like the height it gives me and the sound of them clicking against the floor as I walk. I used to wear them all the time when I was a director. But I also love comfort and pull out my boomer New Balance shoes (actually, they have established that Hoka’s are the new boomer shoes), especially if I know that there will be a significant amount of walking that will happen on the outing. Lately, I’ve been really into clothes that feel like a big hug, specially since it’s officially sweater weather now. Oversized knits, soft fabrics, and feeling cozy.
There was a time when I was busy chasing labels, but now IDGAF. Half of my closet is full of: Prada, MCM, Fendi, Moncler, Burberry, Gucci, Ferragamo, and LV. They are all timeless pieces. The other half of my closet? Hoodies and t-shirts from concerts (some are bootleg, others are official merch), random finds from Target, Walmart, or Costco, and pop-up shops that no one else probably has.
There’s no rhyme or reason to my wardrobe anymore, just vibes.
