I finally wrapped up watching You, all five seasons on Netflix.
Season 1 was hands down my favorite. It was fresh, suspenseful, and strangely hypnotic. I’ll admit, I was completely mesmerized by Joe’s voice. The way he narrated everything, that calm, calculating tone… hello, you. It got me. And he was always trying to justify his actions, making it easy to forget that he was a serial killer. The things you do for love…
I wasn’t a fan of Love Quinn for some reason season 2 was whatever for me. Season 3 was meh as well. I just didn’t feel like the chemistry was there like in season 1. Instead, we got the two of them unhinged and it became a mind game instead of who can kill who.
Season 4, was my least favorite. Most of the time Joe was disassociating and it dragged on too long. Season 5 was better, but still didn’t top season 1. It had moments of lust, obsession, deception, seduction, regrets, and murders but it wasn’t as gripping as before.
