LINK: about this week…
What excites you about this week?
There is a lot that happened over the week. I worked both jobs at full capacity, giving it 110%. Mentally, I was exhausted and I could no longer make any executive decisions anymore outside of the workplace, making me more amenable than most of my friends when it comes to going out.

A squirrel who lurks and watches me.
I could feel my body feeling sluggish and I’m pretty sure that my iron levels were low. My cousins and I went out to eat and ordered a cilantro lime salad with filet mignon.
I also was able to take tons of naps since I couldn’t sleep in.
DD2 was a must, especially since I was feeling well rested.
For the most part, I stayed off social media (except WP). I just needed a cleanse and detox from all the things happening in the world and around me. Unfortunately, I did find out that Layla’s dad passed away. I knew his health was not good for years but a loss is never easy.

I went to the KOLLAB pop-up in L.A. They had K-beauty and K-foods for a discounted price and samples too.
I had peanut bread and konjak jelly collagen samples.
I got to try matcha with Koatji (organic oat and koji milk).

They had makeup, snack, and nail vendors.
There was also the rooftop scene where they had a flight of teas available.

I had an ice pumpkin and yam tea with μ κ³Ό (yugwa – deep fried rice flour dessert).

We ate basil fried rice and chicken pad see ew. IDK why but the food slapped hard that day.

A few of us met up at Junbi for the BT21 (BTS characters from LINE FRIENDS) collab. They had cute merch but they were hella expensive.

I ordered the BT21 galaxy coffee latte: fresh dairy, black sesame, purple sweet potato, and a double shot of espresso. I also got a BT21 blind box glass cup. I got a Shooky, which is SUGA’s character. I was happy with this since he is my bias wrecker. We sat, drank our drinks, talked, and chilled for about 90 minutes before going home.

Continued on my fitness journey with over 10,000 steps daily. My clothes are fitting better so that’s a W.
Took the puppy to the groomer for a trim. He did not enjoy the car ride, I’ll tell you that. He either has motion sickness or thinks that he’s going to be shipped off to another home to be fostered.

Checked out the rosie pop-up and got merch.
I started watching Monster: The Ed Gein Story. He was known as the Butcher of Plainfield, sometimes called the Plainfield Ghoul. He was from Wisconsin, which caught my attention right away because I went to school there. I don’t know what’s in the water over there, but Wisconsin seems to produce its fair share of psychopaths… Jeffrey Dahmer being another infamous example.
This one… feels darker. It’s definitely more twisted and psychologically disturbing than Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story or even Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. It’s got that uncomfortable eerie, slow-burn tension that makes me want to look away but I can’t. It was interesting to see how Alfred Hitchcock was inspired by Gein and thus created Norman Bates from Psycho. It was equally fascinating to see Laurie Metcalf (from Roseanne, The Conners, Lady Bird) portraying Augusta Gein, Ed Gein’s mother in this series.
Charlie Hunnam, from Sons of Anarchy, plays Ed Gein. Several of my friends kept talking about how good looking he is, but personally, I don’t see it. But then again, I do have a specific type(s). still, I’ll give Hunnam credit for portraying the simpleton small-town menace.
Anyway, I digress. Has anyone else started watching this show? And if you have, what are your thoughts? I’m only on episode three but I don’t mind if people tell me spoilers.
