I’ve never felt so seen. I save money. I’m not reckless. But I also want to live a little. People love to side-eye my purchases (my mother, especially) that don’t fall into the “essential” category.

Back in December 2024, I got two calendars, one of Jungkook from BTS and another of Felix from Stray Kids. The moment January hit, I had them up on my wall at work. Not because I want people to gawk or ask questions (and yes, some do), but because it’s what keeps me going… well that and coffee.
Same with my Labubu collection. They’re goofy looking, and yet… they’re adorable. Pure serotonin in plastic form. And then… yeah as usual, I overdid it a bit. So now I’m putting myself on a Labubu and POP Mart fast.
On the flip side, I’m practical AF. I went to get my car serviced and the dealership had the audacity to tell me I needed three new wiper blades and were going to charge me over $200 for the parts and the service. I’m not paying that much for something I can order online and swap out myself. So I did just that.
I also bought caulk remover, a caulking gun, silicone sealant, and touch-up paint for the walls and crown molding. Basically, I’ve been morphing into my own handyman, not because I enjoy doing this kinda stuff, but because I hate overpaying for stuff I can do on my own.
