Currently listening to: Imma Be – The Black Eyed Peas
I’mma be on the next level
I’mma be rockin’ over that bass treble
I’mma be chillin’ with my motherfuckin’ crew
I’mma be makin’ all them deals you wanna do (Ha)
I’mma be up in them A-list flicks
Doin’ one-handed flips
Then I’mma be sippin’ on trip ’cause
I’mma be shakin’ my hips
You gon’ be lickin’ your lips
I’mma be takin’ them pics
Lookin’ all fly and shit
I’mma be the flyest chick (So fly)
I’mma be spreadin’ my wings
Is there something being expected by you (by society, family) that you wish wasn’t?

Korean society, in particular, has a pretty extensive checklist of expectations:
- highly educated with a prestigious job
- values intellectual conversations but also knows when to hold her tongue
- be elegant and feminine but not too loud about it
- use proper honorifics
- be deeply respectful
- be family-oriented
- maintain clean hygiene and look polished
- stay romantically open but not too open
- be slim
- have a good sense of style
American society feels simpler in comparison:
- be a functional member of society — work, pay taxes, vote, serve on jury duty when called
- get that bag… if I wanna
- be different than everyone else
- take care of myself and keep boundaries
- make your mark in this world
- and don’t be a bag of dicks
