Well… five years ago marked the beginning of the pandemic here in the U.S. So there’s that. People were locked inside, disinfecting groceries, hoarding toilet paper, and watching the world unravel through a screen. Everything felt uncertain, scary, and fragile.
But let’s not pretend things are great now, either. The world isn’t exactly thriving—it’s just a different kind of fucked up. We’ve traded one crisis for another, or rather, stacked new ones on top of the old ones we never really solved.
