What do you miss and don’t miss about high school?
Prompt snagged from: TCMC
This. I really miss this.
High-key, I was practically floating every day as a sophomore just because I got to see my boyfriend, even if it was only for a few stolen seconds between classes. That kind of teenage obsession made school fun, like the hallways were just a runway leading to another fleeting glimpse of him.
What I don’t miss? School starting at 0700. Honestly, that had to be some form of child abuse. Who thought that was a good idea? I was barely conscious, and back then, I wasn’t even drinking coffee—I was running on a Diet Coke for breakfast and sheer willpower. And don’t even get me started on the five-minute passing periods. I had to sprint across campus just to make it on time.
Also, asking to go to the bathroom? Hated that. I had heavy periods and needed to go frequently, but having to ask permission like a toddler? In front of my classmates? Embarrassing as hell.
