Currently listening to: I believe – 신승훈
나만큼 울지 않기를 그대만은
I hope you don’t cry as much as I do
눈물 없이 나 편하게 떠나주기를
I hope you leave me easily without tears
언젠가 다시 돌아올 그대라는 걸 알기에
Because I know some day you will come back
난 믿고 있기에
And I believe in it
기다릴게요 난 그대여야만 하죠
I will wait for you, you are the only one for me
A couple of my exes have told me that I remind them of the girl from My Sassy Girl—the Korean version. At first, I wasn’t sure how to feel about it. On one hand, she’s bold, unpredictable, and doesn’t take nonsense from anyone, which, I guess, is a compliment. But on the other hand, she’s also a bit of a mess—pushing people away, sometimes reckless behavior, and rough around the edges. It’s an interesting comparison, to say the least.
For a while, My Sassy Girl was one of my favorite movies. I loved how it blended humor and drama in a way that felt so natural and real. It wasn’t just a typical romantic comedy; it had this surprising depth to it. One moment you’re laughing at her quirky, unpredictable antics, and the next, you’re feeling the weight of the emotions beneath them. The way it shifted so quickly between lightheartedness and something more serious was one of the things that made it stand out.
Maybe that’s why they saw me in her—because I could be playful and spontaneous, but there was also something deeper beneath the surface?
The movie is on Netflix but if you don’t have Netflix, you can watch it on YouTube for free with English subs.
