Do you believe in fate/destiny?

I believe fate is what led us here—crossing paths in this vast digital space, reading each other’s words, sharing pieces of our lives, and connecting in ways we never expected. It’s the invisible thread that weaves people together, aligning moments, conversations, and encounters in ways that feel almost too precise to be coincidence.

And then there’s destiny—the power of choice, the idea that we are always one decision away from an entirely different life. The paths we take, the risks we embrace, and the opportunities we let slip through our fingers shape who we become. While fate may bring us to the crossroads, it’s destiny that determines which road we choose.

Maybe some things are written in the stars, but I like to think we still hold the pen.

Ya, I like to think we have control over processes too, but there is a joke I have about wondering if there isn’t a script written out sometimes lol but that’s just humo

I think the idea of fate takes the whole human experience out of the human experience.

“I think we were meant to be, but we did it wrong.” OMG – that happened with me and a guy. The moment I saw him, something inside me jumped. It was as though I was seeing an old friend, yet I didn’t even know his name. We eventually talked over several weeks. I felt strongly we were meant to meet. Our lives never let us become a thing, but I told him if we were supposed to be together, we f’d it up, and I’d see him in the next life on the next try. 🙂

However, I do love your words here, Rojie. I believe in fate, destiny, karma, etc. … but I hope you are right, and we still hold the pen.

me too!! omg that is so romantical… do you think there will be another chance with him in this lifetime?

      1. Maddie Cochere Avatar

No. He’s married! They’ve been living separately for many years, but in my book, he’s still married. I won’t see him. It’s sad, because he may have been a soul mate. He better not be married in the next life when we meet again! 🙂
