To be a true villain there needs to be zero sense of remorse. A person willing to destroy without worrying about collateral. I don’t see why one would call themselves a villain when all they have done is care for someone else.
Usually in villain stories there’s an arc as to why they became the way they are. It could even make them the anti hero…
