Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor It’s hard to say it, time to say it Goodbye, goodbyeThink back on your most memorable road trip
I already wrote about about our family road trip from Minnesota to the Canadian Rockies. We drove through Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Banff, Edmonton, Saskatoon, and then back down to Minnesota.
One of the most entertaining road trips I’ve ever taken was when my friends—four guys—and I decided to drive to Vegas. None of us had much money, but we all needed a break from our usual routine. I tagged along, even though I’m not much of a gambler, just for the change of scenery.
On the drive there, I took charge of the music and played nothing but boy band songs—both Korean and American. To my surprise, the guys knew the lyrics to most of them, LOL. We spent nearly four hours laughing, singing at the top of our lungs, and enjoying the carefree vibe.
Once we arrived, they headed straight to the blackjack tables and slot machines, ready to gamble until the early hours of the morning. Meanwhile, I wandered the strip, soaking in the lights, energy, and people-watching.
By the time 5:00 a.m. rolled around, I found my friends in the casino looking completely wrecked—red-eyed, disheveled, and a little too drunk. I took on the role of caretaker, making sure they drank plenty of water before practically shoving them into bed to recover so that we could do it all over again the next day.
