Currently listening to: The Man – Taylor Swift
They’d say I hustled
Put in the work
They wouldn’t shake their heads and question how much of this I deserve
What I was wearing
If I was rude
Could all be separated from my good ideas and power moves
And they would toast to me, oh
Let the players play
I’d be just like Leo
In Saint-Tropez
Here’s my bookshelf situation:
- top shelf – LEGO star Wars helmets. It took me forever to piece them all together.
- second shelf – vinyl dolls that I’ve acquired over the years. I’ve given away quite a bit and decided that I would keep these. I also have a few alebrijes that I’ve gotten during my visits in Mexico.
- third shelf – soft cover books that I’ve held on to because they were either given to me as a gift or I just really enjoyed reading them over and over again. There, There; Angela’s Ashes; Ham on Rye; Nine Stories; Memoirs of My Melancholy Whore; Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World; Disgrace; They Call Me Naughty Lola; The Sorrows of Young Werther and more.
- fourth shelf – NGL, Stephenie Meyer is not a great author but her books slap. When I was a kid, one of my neighbors got me hooked on Chronicles of the Cheysuli, so there’s that. BLACKPINK Bl-ping-bong that I still need a stand for. I still need to get the lightsticks for BTS and Stray Kids.
- bottom shelf – are the heavier hardcover books, The French Laundry menu that the chef signed for me because it was my birthday, TIME magazine that featured Taylor Swift, and a COOKY BT21 snow globe that I got for Christmas this year from a fellow ARMY.
I donated 90% of my books that I’ve already read multiple times to a local charity so if anyone has any books that they would recommend, please leave a comment with the name of the book.
Thanks!
-me, XOXO
