My life is so unfair
Everyone sees me as if I’m the beast out there

How are you creative?
I don’t know if I’d say that I am creative. I prefer things that are neat and orderly. My room is a minimalist’s dream. I love clean lines and neutral colors. My car is immaculate and I get the interior cleaned monthly. The only thing I feel that I’m creative in is work politics. Finding ways to skirt around difficult issues or conversations, trying to brain storm ideas on how to problem solve concerns, figuring out what is being said by reading between the lines, and anticipating the unexpected. My coworkers, supervisors, and friends often times ask me to read their emails before pushing send. And more times than not, I will revise the emails so that it is less offensive and toxic.
If you were to ask me this question while I was at uni, I would have a more innovative answer. I think my parents effectively beat it out of me and corporate America has conditioned me in such a way that I can no longer fathom an imaginative answer.
I admire those who are creative. It’s something that I lack nor have the bandwidth for.
