I’m back at Kuramoto for lunch. This time with my mom. She’s always wondering where I’m going and what I’m eating. I thought I would take her out to a nice meal. She’s very artsy fartsy…she’s all about being fancy and presentation so I figured that this omakase would be right up her alley.
Sashimi salad and Chawanmushi. The Chawanmushi this time was even better than the last time I had it.

Safe to say that my mom loved it. She said that the fish was so fresh it was like biting through butter. Nice and smooth.
I dropped her off at home and I went to the Persian grocery store to buy ingredients to meal prep for the week.
I am good at being around people for short bursts now. Anything longer drains my social battery. Even my own mother, but she’s known to cluck about all sorts of things that I find to be annoying and she likes to bring up my misgivings from 10+ years ago. Fun times.
