Name the professional athletes you respect the most and why.
There are three fútbol players that I have mad respect for:
- Cristiano Ronaldo – five Ballon d’Or awards and the first man to score 900 career goals. Friends who have met him said he is genuinely nice.
- Lionel Messi – eight Ballon d’Or awards and named the worlds best player 8 x by FIFA.
- Zinedine Zidane – former Real Madrid coach, prolific player during the late 1990’s to the early 2000’s, and the infamous moment when he headbutted Marco Materazzi during the World Cup. That was such a baddie move.
I do like David Beckham but is he the GOAT? Not really, but his documentary with Posh Spice provided a lot of insight into what transpired during his career. Neymar’s got talent but I want to see what he brings to the 2026 World Cup. Hopefully, I’ll be able to snag tickets to Copa Mundial en Guadalajara.
