we are the dreamers

Name the professional athletes you respect the most and why.

Currently listening to: Dreamers – 정국 (from BTS) feat. Fahad Al Kubaisi.

There are three fútbol players that I have mad respect for:

  1. Cristiano Ronaldo – five Ballon d’Or awards and the first man to score 900 career goals.
  2. Lionel Messi – eight Ballon d’Or awards and named the world’s best player eight times by FIFA.
  3. Zinedine Zidane – former Real Madrid coach, prolific player during the late 1990’s to the early 2000’s, and the infamous moment when he headbutted Marco Materazzi during the World Cup.  That was such a baddie move.

I do like David Beckham but is he the GOAT?  Not really, but his documentary with Posh Spice provided a lot of insight into what transpired during his career.  Neymar’s got talent but I want to see what he brings to the 2026 World Cup.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to snag tickets to Copa Mundial en Guadalajara.

    I admire two of the three: Zinedine Zidane, who, for me, is the smartest player. Ronaldo, the most disciplined player, is fitness at that age is incredible.
