애교

Currently watching: The Umbrella Academy, Season 4

My friend sent me a link to Felix (from SKZ) doing 애교 (the act of being overly cutesy) for the cam and it reminded me of a time when one of my male friends asked me if I did 애교.  Obviously, I did.  I mean I am Korean after all.

It starts with a head tilt and pouty look. Then comes the baby voice an octave higher, “오빠~ 나 예쁘죠?” I never do this to non-Koreans because chances are it’ll get lost in translation or seem super cringe. Yummy and I would do it whenever we went out and more often than not, we would get free drinks and offers to drive us back home.  We’d take the drinks but not the rides, we had people who would be our designated drivers.

    I think I can imagine this, watching k-dramas 😀

        A little too much of them… they mess with your head 🤣🤣… nowadays when I do watch, I go for gangsters, are they violent though.

          I love gangster shows toooooo…but yes, the k romantic dramas give a false narrative on what love is unfortunately…no person can live up to it!

            And I’ve observed, the art of ‘how not to communicate’… 😀. The positive is the eye candy no doubt 😉.

            Has it released? I didn’t really watch the first so much, found it extremely violent, my fragile heart couldn’t take it 😅. But the kids are waiting for it, even my 7 year old girl 😱🤣

            Your daughter’s gangster 😆 it’s not out yet but that is one of the most anticipated sequels to come out

            I think she’s growing to be one 🤣🤣. I’ll keep a lookout for it. My son enjoyed it and the uncanny counter, I think that’s the correct title.

            it’s slated to premiere on dec 26 and there will be a season 3, final season for 2025

            That’s just 4 months away. 2025 seems so far but almost near 😀. Thankyou.
            I enjoyed the show Stranger but they never came with a 3rd season.
