This would strengthen their economic stability and maintain social order while honoring their sense of duty and commitment to the families.
Despite the presence of a romantic courtship, they developed a stable and respectable partnership over the years. It definitely wasn’t giving K-drama vibes.
When I asked my mom, “What about love?” She responded that their kind of love was more about companionship, being supportive and able to navigate difficult times together – such as immigrating to a new country, and having mutual respect rather than passionate love. Their love grew over years and evolved over time.
