I haven’t seen her in weeks. So much can happen during that time.
Since then, she’s moved. Literally. Multiple times. She moved out of her old place and into a high-rise. She moved on from her ex-boyfriend to the ambiguous realms of situationships. She moved on from daunting moments to having exhilarating experiences. She appeared euphoric and her aura was glowing.
In contrast, I’ve become somewhat of a hermit due to studying and work obligations. We’re about to launch multiple projects simultaneously, and I’ve been tasked with at least half of them which has consumed a significant portion of my time and energy. Amidst this whirlwind of activities, I’ve also focused more on my skin regimen after spending a small fortune on various K-beauty products.
Once I’m done with my exam, I’m so ready to bust out of this boring ass rut that I’ve placed myself in and go off. A girl I befriended recently invited me to her dance classes in Compton on weekend mornings. I love dancing, so I’m totally down for this shit. Did I tell you that at one point of my delusional life, that I wanted to be a backup dancer for K-pop groups?
Anyway, I digress. My dear friend seemed happy, and I was elated for her. She told me about the men she’s been entangled with as of late. As she was sharing the raunchy details, I had a huge grin on my face. I loved this for her. I really did. I started wondering if this was how she felt reading my blog? Interestingly, her vivid storytelling has inspired me to consider writing racier content. Hmm, the idea of delving into more provocative narratives is tempting…but that also has challenges as well. It takes time and energy to pursue this type of endeavor. I have to be “in the mood” and the vibe has to be right in order for me to write the posts, if that makes any sense. I’ll need to think long and hard about that…hehe.
Sorry, I went off on a tangent again. “It’s nothing serious,” she says…but they’ve been fucking all week long and are constantly communicating. I laughed and told her, “Hey, do you. Have fun. I’ve been there, done that, and got the t-shirt. I’m the last person to judge.”
