What foods would you like to make?

I would love to make decadent foods from places where my friends and I’ve dined at.  Unfortunately, that probably won’t happen any time soon as I am not chef.

One of the most memorable experiences was at Press.

This is where the magic happens.  Although, it’s not a three star Michelin restaurant, it’s acting like it is because the food that they’re putting out is nothing short of remarkable.

The three of us opted for the five course tasting.  Since I was quite tired, I opted for coffee while they indulged in the various vinos that paired nicely with our meal.

Chips + dip: crisped salmon skin, avocado kosha, black lime
Sweet and sour pig ears, espelette glaze, asian pears, cilantro

Hamachi, shaved radish, salsa macha, avo
Ricotta Gnudi, morel mushrooms, roasted lettuce whey

Black cod, cordyceps mushrooms, field broccoli, abalone consommé
Truffle-glazed chicken, smoked maitakes, creamed nettles, sauce vin jaune

Dessert was the Montasio, onion confit, crystallized fennel, and apple cake. I love cheese.
A surprise chocolate bon bon lit up for the birthday festivities.

At times, I worked in restaurants for seven years so I developed some of that, but I am not all that picky.
