shut up, sit down, and read

bye bye miss minutes

Which activities make you lose track of time?

TBH, since the pandemic started, everything has been a blur.  Time has just gone into warp speed and here we are in 2024.

There are so many things that I’ll have to compile a quick list for this…

  • concerts, I wish they could just keep going on and on.
  • mind blowing sex. Have you ever had sex so fucking good that you wanted to cry?  And the day seems to magically disappear?
  • binging shows or movies on Netflix or Hulu.  Can’t stop, won’t stop.
  • reading.  Whether it’s blogs or books, it’s my escapism.
  • going down rabbit holes.  Guilty.  My last instance was talking to Five Star about Taylor Swift, which lasted for about five hours and we barely got any sleep before driving to Sac from Yountville.
  • cooking elaborate meals.  I don’t know why but it happens every damn time.
  • doom scrolling.  NGL but I’ve fallen asleep while mid-scrolling…and have had my phone fall on my face multiple times while in bed.
  • when the director starts talking to me.  I get hyper-focused on what she says that I don’t even bother to look at the time.
  • being on holiday.  I swear two weeks off feels like only three days, especially if you’re traveling overseas.

Reading is defo a time suck, and I will agree that the pandemic made the time go both slow af and quick like bunnies at the same time.
