This pretty much sums up our time in Florida.
Traveling with her was a whole new experience. We explored new places, tried new foods, and laughed until it hurt. Men would approach us throughout our time there and let me tell you, she had a way of turning heads wherever we went. Her beauty and dancing skills were unmatched. She could have been a K-pop idol.
But it wasn’t just her outer beauty that drew people in. It was her magnetic personality, and her ability to make anyone feel welcome and loved. She had this incredible charisma that made you want to be a part of her world. And I couldn’t blame my guy friends for secretly wishing they could be with her. If I were in their shoes, I would too.
She was my person. I could talk to her ad nauseam about men, especially Patty Duke and Beau Mec. The inner conflict I felt, trust issues I had with them, what at that time kept me tethered to them, and why it never worked out. She showed up to all the moments that mattered the most. She just got me. She never judged me for my choices. Everything was easier with her around…
I miss her.
Le sigh.
